Paws-itive Partnerships: Meet Bear the Therapy Dog
In partnership with Bright Futures Grain Valley, the Grain Valley Schools Therapy Dog Program provides a grant for a therapy dog to be formally trained and placed at each school. The therapy dog program is designed to support students' emotional, social, and academic well-being by integrating certified therapy dogs into the school environment.
A+ Program at GVHS
The A+ program provides scholarship funds to students who attended an A+ designated high school and wish to attend a two year university or technical school. The program covers nearly all of the tuition and fees for two years at a community college or technical school. In general students need a 2.5 GPA and 95% attendance to qualify.
Explore STEM at GVHS with PLTW!
At our high school, we are committed to preparing students for the fast-paced, high-demand careers of tomorrow. We are proud to offer three comprehensive, multi-year Project Lead The Way (PLTW) pathways: Engineering, Biomedical Science, and Computer Science.
PLTW courses go far beyond traditional classroom learning. Students engage in rigorous, hands-on, problem-solving experiences that mirror the real-world industries they will enter. By working with industry-standard software, advanced lab equipment, and collaborative engineering design processes, our students don't just learn about a career field—they practice it. These pathways empower students to develop critical thinking, grit, and the technical skills needed to excel in college and beyond.
